'Preparations for an Imaginary Conflict' by Cathy Lane. Cathy's show was predominantly a sound exhibit rather than a visual one. While there was an aspect of visual, the sounds that were coming at you from all points of the room were the high impact point. I tried to emulate the warning sounds coming from all directions in the pieces above. Warnings were coming left, right, and centre and at different levels. In addition to this the siren sounds were in the background, making it hard to concentrate and truly made me feel uncomfortable. One is done plainly, and the other in the colour Cathy used in the room, which I feel calmer when I read, which is an interesting contrast to how I felt when I was in the room with that colour. Not sure how much the text truly represents the genius loci of the place.
